Before rivers swell and forests awaken, there is a pause—a gathering of clouds, a change in the wind, the first scent of rain carried across the earth. The monsoon reminds us that meaningful change seldom arrives all at once. It begins with a single drop.

Nahor begins in much the same way.

This inaugural issue brings together voices from different disciplines and different ways of seeing the world. Here, poetry sits beside scientific inquiry, photography alongside travel narratives, and reflections beside visual art. Though diverse in form, they are united by a shared belief: that thoughtful work deserves to be read slowly, preserved carefully, and discovered long after the moment of its creation.

Our theme, Monsoon, is more than a season. It is a symbol of renewal, patience, memory, and movement. It speaks to landscapes transformed by rain, to journeys interrupted and rediscovered, to ideas that quietly take root before flourishing.
